Day 16 – Thursday, February 14 – Puerto Chacabuco, Chile – Cruise Day 12 & Valentine’s Day – rainy, cold, foggy
- B – 7:00 – wake up early for tour Natural Beauty of Patagonia
- B – Claudia is really sick – have to retrain new barista
- B – 8:10 in grand salon to hurry up & wait
- 8:30 – tender to bus
- 8:45 – arrive Aiken del Sur private park
- A – rain stops for walk through forest
- A – Barba del Viejo falls
- 11:00 – arrive lodge for Pisco sour, snacks & local dancers
- B – over priced @ $119 pp for what you get
- 12:00 – back to ship for lunch
- A – quesadillas, salsa, guacamole & jalapenos YUMMY!
- 5:00 – set sail
- 7:30 – invited for dinner @ Alistair the Guest Service Managers table
- 10:00 – The Club for singing & dancing
FF – (FUN-fact) – Cape Horn is the southeastern tip of a small island where the Pacific & Atlantic Oceans meet. Steep black cliffs drop to the sea. The only buildings are a lighthouse, a chapel & a weather station.

Trip Day 21 – Cruise Day 4 – Monday, July 30 – St. Tropez, France
- 11 am take tender
- OMG! massive yachts fill the harbor
- picture-postcard streets along water lined with local artists offering paintings
- strolling through a maze of streets with lots of chic boutiques
- cafes & restaurants spill into the streets
- dinner on ship is French Bistro @ casual outdoor restaurant
- have Creme Brulee in St. Tropez
What I DON’T LIKE
FF (FUN-fact) – St. Tropez acquired it’s glamorous reputation when Brigitte Bardot bought a house here.

Trip Day 20 – Cruise Day 3 – Sunday, July 29 – Séte, France
What I LIKE
- sipping my hot cappuccino on the deck
- arrive in town @ 11 am
- met by local parade snaking through the streets
- nice long walk along canal – originally an island now joined by 2 sandspits
- get a massage
- best I’ve ever had on a ship
- have dinner in main dining room with cruise mates we met on first day
What I DON’T LIKE
- not very clean by French standards & graffiti
FF (FUN-fact) – Both lunch and dinner on the ship have a theme that changes every day.

Trip Day 19 – Cruise Day 2 – Saturday, July 28 – Rosas, Spain
- the best bed & pillows we’ve had on a cruise
- really, really good & hot cappuccino
- 5 hr excursion to see Gala Dalí Castle House-Museum – filled with Gala’s personal items, furniture, some of Dalí’s art – extensive gardens with sculptures including her garage & 2 vintage cars
- then on to 2 more small villages in walled cities
- hamburger, fries, pizza, French white wine for lunch
- take siesta
- dinner outside @ casual restaurant
- show in theatre – Amour – features love songs
What I DON’T LIKE
- 8:40am departure for excursion – I love my slow wake-up in the mornings
- go to dinner @ 8:50 & dining room closes @ 9
- after taking 2 weeks to get on “Spain Dining Time” we have to get used to eating earlier
FF (FUN-fact) – Salvador Dalí refurbished and gave this 11th century castle to his wife (& muse) as a gift. She accepted only on the condition that Dalí only visit when given a written invitation. She rarely invited him and reportedly entertained several lovers here. He was intent on creating a place suitable for his wife’s rest and refuge. This was his last workshop and Gala’s mausoleum is located beneath the castle.

Trip Day 18 – Cruise Day 1 – Friday, July 27 – Board Ship in Barcelona, Spain
What I LIKE
- board ship 1:50 pm
- our first Seabourn cruise – have heard many good things
- brand new ship – 1 year new
- nice bottle of Champagne in our suite
- having people that speak English
- lots of salads & veggies & arugula
- food is the best we’ve ever had on a cruise ship
- book excursion for tomorrow
- 4:45 sail away party on pool deck
- dinner @ patio grill – really thin crust pizza – fresh fish
What I DON’T LIKE
- wine by the glass selection not as good as Regents 7 Seas
