Playful – engaged in an activity for pure pleasure and amusement.
“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.” – Plato
How playful are you? Do you do things out of pure pleasure and for your amusement?
I see playful as being childlike. I remember when I was sixteen years old and I couldn’t wait to grow up and move out of my house. Thirty years plus later, I woke up one morning and decided I was tired of growing up. I wanted to grow down!
I was taking life way too seriously. Working long hours and not taking time off. All work and no play makes for a very dull life! If you want to be more playful, take kids to an amusement park. Ride the roller coaster and drive the bumper cars. Go to a lake a ride the paddle boats. There are so many things you can do for pure pleasure.
John Beck, one of my clients and a big fan of the WOW’s, sent this thought for the day……..How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected, but time is gone forever………….
What would you like to spend your time doing that you have put off? Do it this week! Plan something that is playful and that you derive pure pleasure and amusement from.

“As I get older and start to see the world through my daughter’s eyes I am having more fun. It is very easy to take life seriously because of the enormous responsibilities we have, but taking the time to be playful with my daughter is just a lot of fun. I can honestly say that it keeps me young. Thanks for the word.” — Joe Moran
