Day 22 – Tuesday, July 22 – Tallinn, Estonia – Princess Cruise – Day 3 – blue skies – low 70’s – sunrise 4:08 – sunset 10:33
- 8:00 – hot cappuccino
- 9:30 – fruit plate & sandwich to go
- 10:30 – walk off ship
- – shuttle to town $10 Euro RT = round trip ea.
- – self guided tour
- Very cute medieval city
- UNESCO site
- Enter thru Viru gates – 14th century round towers
- – sights include:
- House of Brotherhood of Black Beads
- w/Renaissance façade & ornate doors
- Town Hall square
- Town Hall pharmacy – oldest in Europe dates 1422 – closed
- 1:15 – buy kids souvenirs – get good deal!
- 1:30 – shuttle back
- 2:00 – lunch buffet – gyros is best
- 3:00 – free wifi @ cruise terminal & way faster
- – table & chair to sit = $2.5 Euro diet coke
- 4:00 – pedicure
- 5:30 – happy hour in room – beer from Poland & duty free whiskey
- 7:30 – dining room
- – antipasto & scallop ceviche starters
- – med rare hamburger (want to cook it well & have to give your consent) VG, calamari steak so so
- – Sextant Zin $3 extra charge – not the best
- 9:15 – Lemoncella cart – $3 & you keep the souvenir shot glass
- – go for it since we pay that much w/nothing in them for grandson
- 10:30 – Draft Day – movie on room TV
What I DON’T LIKE
- Town Hall pharmacy
- – oldest in Europe dates 1422 – closed
- Favorite waiter Jigger has no tables
- Food not as good as 1st day
- Lose another hour – clock ahead
- Need to go to sleep for early tour departure
FUN-fact – Tallinn is the oldest capital in Europe and the smallest Baltic country at about the size of Switzerland.
